As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Corporate Accountant to manage and oversee our in-country accounting functions and provide key insights to support the company’s financial decision-making processes.
Job Brief: We are looking for a Corporate Accountant who will take responsibility for our financial operations in Zambia. You will ensure compliance with regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide the company with clear and actionable insights regarding its financial position, liquidity, and cash flows. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations, and you will play a key role in strategic business planning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Gather and maintain financial data and ledgers while managing all accounting transactions.
• Oversee accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Advise management on financial matters, manage business plans, and resolve cost-related challenges.
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payables, and receivables.
• Prepare and process monthly and annual tax, NAPSA, NHIMA, and other statutory returns.
• Develop and implement strong financial controls.
• Analyze data to support business decision-making.
• Oversee external and internal audits.

Professional and Skills Requirements:
• BA/BSc Accounting, ACCA/CIMA and accredited with ZICA
• Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Corporate Accountant with traceable references
• Applied knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
• In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
• An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Reliable and with excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, and possess sharp business acumen
• Organizational and leadership skills
