Job Responsibilities:
• Project management plan, coordinatee and monitor scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff and deliverables agreed upon for Corporate Affairs and cross functional projects. Projects may include work on communications, branding, PR, stakeholder advocacy, regulatory & policy change initiatives, publications, media relations, community investments, sustainability initiatives, and special events.
• Develop and implement appropriate Corporate Affairs strategies and programs, as required, to enhance understanding of, and regard towards, JTI among key opinion formers and policymakers, civil servants, advisers, regulators and members of parliament.
• Develop, support and implement government advocacy on regulatory and policy matters; identify specific channels and opportunities in the legislative and political process through which JTI’s views and positions can be shared and communicated to stakeholders, policy and decision makers.
• Leading and providing oversight of JTI’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Process by continuously identifying, prioritizing actual and potential human rights impacts; respond on the findings; measure the progress; and report on how the impacts are addressed.
• Lead the planning, development and execution of JTI’s internal and external communications strategy to ensure messages are accurate, clear and aligned to JTI’s business strategy and corporate communications guidelines.
• Design and deliver social programs to respond to social, sustainability and business needs in JTI Grower Communities, integrate, and implement PR activities designed to enhance JTI’s brand.
• Manage external consultants and implementing partners to develop and deliver strategies and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a strong media relations strategy to support JTI’s stakeholder engagement and communications priorities.
• Serve as an executive editor in developing JTI Zambia’s views and positions on anticipated economic, legislative and regulatory issues.
• Maintain a live document of JTI Zambia’s key government stakeholders and plan engagements to ensure an integrated and consistent engagement approach across all functions.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of JTI’s Child labour programs, serve as the primary thought leader and champion of company-wide labour practices programs.
• Develop and manage the Corporate Sustainability Reporting process that establishes and maintains metrics and targets used to measure and communicate sustainability performance.

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience in a related field (political science, communications, public relations, economics, sustainability, development studies, public policy).
• Experience managing or supporting campaigns, projects, tasks, requests and timelines involving complex issues.
• Experience within corporate, government, public relations agency, trade association, and/or advocacy organization(s).
• Effective time management skills to multi-task several initiatives with demonstrated ability to achieve success.
• Robust experience with management of multidisciplinary projects within Corporate Affairs department systems and processes.
• Experience working in global organization is desirable.
• Experience with leading multiple projects simultaneously, employing strong project management skills, with ability to self-start and independently drive progress
