JOB DETAILS:
Lead: Regional Sales West Africa

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organise and implement the Sales & Marketing, Customer Services, Operations, Human Resources and Security Functions of SAA in the respective Country of responsibility in an endeavour to provide the highest level of service to customers and achieve the required revenue and expenditure. The incumbent of this role is accountable for managing the SAA country specific station in its entirety
Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related with 3-5 years' experience in a comparable environment OR 5-7 years' experience in a comparable environment.
• Experience in the Aviation industry is essential

Principal Accountabilities
• Provide input into the design of the Commercial Performance: Regional Strategy taking into account specialist expertise, best practice, benchmarking and market standards etc.
• Provide recommendations to actively support cost and headcount containment
• Develop and implement a Station specific strategy that is aligned to business strategy, stakeholder needs and expectations; legislative requirements; global trends and ensuring long term business viability
• Develop, implement and maintain sales and marketing strategies, taking into account the regional sales and marketing strategy, to optimize revenue
• Develop, implement and maintain operations strategies, taking into account the regional operational plans and strategy, to maintain sound operations
• Provide sound strategic leadership related to human resources, in order to optimise human capital output, and to maintain sound human management relations
• Oversee sales revenue streams and ensure that structured Public Relations, Sales and marketing initiatives are in place in accordance with target market segments and business strategic objectives (e.g. drive online sales)
• Negotiate relevant contracts within their mandate in order to maintain sound operations
• Compile and manage the budgets in respect to their stations to maintain sound operations
• Facilitate the identification and establishment of new market entry models and/or secondary country station point
• Conduct a detailed investigation of environmental, market, infrastructure and resourcing feasibility for business development within the existing or neighbouring countries
• Ensure efficient management of Station to enable achievement of SAA strategic objectives •Ensure that the value proposition for the station is prepared according to criteria such as productivity, effectiveness, deployment, maintenance and safety
• Ensure that all Services are integrated and supportive of the business strategic intent (station specific and those of intermediaries)
• Monitor adherence to agreed upon SLA's and initiate corrective action in the event of discrepancies Revenue Generation and building SAA's Brand in relevant country
• Guide SAA HR to align employment conditions to local legislation and market conditions
