JOB DETAILS:
A commercial farming enterprise in Mbala is looking for a suitable candidate able to assist in the production of seed potatoes.The position also encompasses a responsibility by the incumbent for a certain amount of clerical work as well as support in keeping the farm, its people, and its products secure.Persons with strengths and abilities in the following should apply.
• Have the necessary authority to work in Zambia
• Integrity & Honesty
• The ability to organise and supervise field workers and record their daily work
• A sound mechanical knowledge of agricultural machines
• The ability to calibrate and test agricultural machines
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, centre pivot operation and relationships between evapotranspiration and plant water use
• Be prepared to work long hours at peak periods
• Be prepared to work week- ends
• Be able to live in a remote location with a limited social life and sporting facilities
• All statutory deductions and payments from their salary must be complied with unless evidence of exemption is provided
• The remuneration is salary based

The person who fills this position will be offered the following.
• A USD based salary
• A motorbike will be supplied for work use when the weather is suitable
• A farm vehicle will be provided for work use in unsuitable weather and road conditions
• A furnished house with garden
• 1 x domestic worker
• 1 x long weekend off per month from Thursday to Tuesday on a mutually agreed weekend that is approved by the general manager applied for 2 weeks in advance
