Overview
InvestEcon Group PTY is a financial and investment advisory firm operating in Sub-Saharan African Countries and Mauritius. The company also offers brokerage and trading services for financial securities and currencies through registered intermediary trading platforms as well as commodity trading.
InvestEcon now seeks to recruit a Business Development Officer (BDO) & Business Development Assistant – Finance, Management & Analysis to join its exciting winning team.

Business Development Officer (BDO) Responsibilities;
• Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable
• Devise and assess procedures and methods for data collection, including opinion polls, surveys and questionnaires
• Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition
• Conduct research regarding marketing strategies and consumer opinions while collaborating with statisticians, marketing professionals and pollsters
• Track and forecast trends in sales and marketing, and analyze in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports and results
• Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
• Attend staff conferences in order to provide management with proposals and information on the distribution, promotion, pricing and design of products and services
• Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications strategies
• Analyze sales funnels and customer intent
• Measure ROI of online and offline advertising campaigns
• Report on marketing KPIs like leads, conversion rates, website traffic and social media engagement
• Track email campaign metrics (delivery, open, click-through rates)
• Monitor budget distribution and performance of paid ad campaigns
• Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
• Recommend website and campaign optimizations
• Research and implement marketing tools to support our promotional projects (automation software, social media scheduling (etc.)

Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask well
• Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Preferred
• Previous experience in market research
• Knowledge of software applications including SAS and SPSS
• Experience with various survey tools
• Work experience as a Marketing Analyst or similar role
• Expertise in Google Analytics
• In-depth understanding of SEM campaign strategies and SEO practices
• Experience with PPC campaigns
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Analytical abilities

Business Development Assistant – Finance, Management & Analysis (BDO) Responsibilities;
• Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable
• Analyzing current and past financial data performance
• Evaluate current capital stock, expenditure and depreciation
• Provide financial models and forecasts
• Capital expenditure and operating expenditure analysis
• Perform M&A due diligence, valuation, and business integration
• Analyze sales funnels and customer intent
• Conduct valuations & financial analysis of green field and brown field projects (including DCF, Accretion, Dilution, ROI, and Sensitivity Analysis)
• Research industry participants and trends using public and private data sources
• Produce financial strategy reports
• Carry out financial risk assessment
• Assist in preparing asset allocation, weighted cost of capital and capital budgeting balance sheets and delivering investment advisor to clients.
• Review portfolio performance.

Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Work experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multitask well
• Well versed in the Tax system
• Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Preferred
• In-depth understanding of SEM campaign strategies and SEO practices
• Good working knowledge MS Excel PowerPivot, PowerBI and SAP
