Job Title: Director of ICT

Job Description

• Leadership and Direction of the ICT Unit
  
• Manage all IT systems & processes in line with the requirements and strategic direction of the institution.
  
• Define the institution's strategy for ICT usage to improve organisational efficiency and knowledge sharing mandate.
  
• Provide technical assistance and direction to all IT Specialists;
  
• Oversee regular technological audits of the institution to maintain and upgrade its systems as required.
  
• Submit annually an ICT budget that reflects the ICT procurement needs of the entire institution.
  
• Contribute to NIRDA's Senior Management Team decision making process, including input to strategic policy making.
  

Job Profile

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 1 year of relevant working experience or A0 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or Information Management with 3 years of relevant working experience and Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (.NET),LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage.

Key technical skills and knowledge required:

• Strong command of written and spoken English
  
• Experience in IT System analysis, implementation and evaluation
  
• Sound understanding of computer systems, hardware, software and networks
  
• Experience developing and managing ICT budget
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, team building, problem solving, conflict resolution, consensus building
  
• Ability to provide innovative technical solutions, strategies and options to complex and critical technical issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups
  
• Knowledge of French is an added advantage
