JOB DETAILS:

JOB PURPOSE (why the position exists and with what objectives)

For proper project management and implementation in terms of electrical site works.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:
    At least high school or industrial technology graduate.
  • Work experience:
    At least 12 years
  • Computer skills:
    Skilled with good knowledge at-least in excel and word software.
  • Language:
    Fluent in written and spoken English, Swahili and Kinyarwanda additional French is preferred
  • FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Will Lead the team of mechanical workers
  • Timely completion of all Mechanical related works
  • Should be able to supervise team along with coordination with other trades
  • Strong character, proactive and confident in your own experience and knowledge to help progress works on site in real time.

  • MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Ensures that the installation and other works is supervised considering HSE requirements and up to set standards of quality and workmanship
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager for Technical Assistance and interact with the technician on a day to day basis for work progress and schedule.
  • Submits daily reports to Project Manager
  • Reports incidents, hazards and other issues related to quality and health and safety and the environment
  • Conducts daily Pre Shift Safety Briefings prior commencement of work, using HSE-FM-0041 Pre-Shift Safety Briefing
  • Ensure all emergency equipment are available in the area of work and In case of emergency guide all the work forces to the safe assembly point and if required keep necessary personnel for emergency response
  • Establish participation and consultation of project personnel which includes but not to:
    Being a good example in following site safety rules and regulations and Daily conduct of Pre Shift Safety Briefings
  • Monthly inspections on electrical safety devices with the Safety Officer and Stores Personnel
  • Actively participating in incident investigations together with the Safety Officer
  • Coordinate with HSE Manager in the conduct of Pre Job Safety Analysis
  • Prepares manpower, equipment, materials and safety equipment required for the day's activity
  • Implement safe methods of work as prescribed in method statements and PJSA and participates in the safety programs of the main contractor
  • Enforce project safety rules
  • Closing of non-conformities in coordination with the Safety Officer
  • Determine fitness for work of project personnel prior commencement of work
  • Reporting incidents and unwanted behaviour and for requesting issuance of CAPA Notice to nonconforming site personnel
  • Prepares and check fitness of work of project personnel assigned under him/her, equipment, materials and safety equipment required for the day's activity
  • Implement safe methods of work as prescribed in method statements and PJSA and participates in the safety programs of the main contractor.
  • Implement good housekeeping before, during and after work activity
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager
