JOB DETAILS:
PURPOSE:
As an Electrician you shall be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical installations, plant and equipment. You are also responsible for proper functioning of Electrical equipment for maximum efficiency and minimum downtime. You will work with the maintenance technician, and you will be responsible and accountable for maintenance works in the project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Must have a minimum of a Craft/Trade Certificate as an electrical artisan with a minimum of two years’ work experience in commercial/domestic or industrial experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered
• Creative visionary and able to be innovative
• Creative, self-motivated, proactive and confident
• Experience working with a diverse team
• Should have a driver’s license (Manual)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific duties of the Electrician/Refrigeration Technician will be as set out below but not limited to:
• Performs maintenance and service repairs on electrical systems.
• Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines
• To be able to read circuit diagrams and fix electrical installations as per diagrams
• To be able to trouble shoot and to find faults on different types of commercial and industrial electrical equipment.
• Analyzes drawings for the purpose of identifying the location of new and existing electrical systems and determining the efficient installation of additional systems.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
• Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to complete work projects for the purpose of ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Installs electrical systems (e.g. underground electrical conduit, fire alarms, switchboards, clock systems, etc.) for the purpose of providing updated, enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities
• Prepares documentation (e.g. records on fire alarms, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
• Procures equipment, supplies and materials for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently.
• Assist the maintenance Manager draw up planned maintenance schedules for refrigeration and air conditioning related equipment.
• Maintain a one-time fix rate of all refrigeration and air conditioning related equipment.
• Make suggestions to the maintenance Manager on how to improve work and improve effectiveness and efficient
