Barloworld Equipment provides total solutions in earthmoving equipment and power systems and related equipment in 10 Southern African countries. As the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, Barloworld Equipment supplies equipment, parts, and service to customers in the mining, construction, and energy industries

Background

Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited is looking to strategically position itself to cater to the demand for alternative power solutions by complimenting its existing power solutions capacity with strategic partners as it looks to continuously improve service delivery in the energy solutions industry

Terms of reference

Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from suitable qualified interested parties for the provision of electrical and power solutions services. Parties must be able to provide the following services:

Electrical Project Scoping and Sizing. Installation of Mission Critical and Standby Diesel Generators, Change over switches and controls

Installation of multiple Diesel Generator synchronization capabilities

33KVA-10000kVA Installations

Control and Automation of Switching Stations

Construction of Generator Plinths and Sundries when required.

Interested parties shall be required to fulfil the following pre-qualification criteria and will be required to submit relevant supporting documents to demonstrate their qualification

1. Cover letter

2. Company profile clearly stipulating the number of years rendering similar construction or electrical services

3. Copy of Certificate of incorporation or Business name registration

4. Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate

5. Copy of Engineering Institute of Zambia Certificate

6. Copy of NAPSA Certificate

7. Copy of Workers' Compensation Certificate.

8. Copy of PACRA Annual Returns

9. Minimum of three (3) contactable references not older than five years for similar work provided

10. Detailed CVs of Engineers and Technicians with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in similar electrical installation services.

11. Proof of Technical team's registration with Engineering Institute of Zambia

12. Provide three (3) Phase installation certificates of Technicians

13. Provide information on technical drawing competency and capacity.

14. Proof of Health and Safety Compliance.

Proposals accompanied by all completed certified documents in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked
