Job description
Purpose:
• Fobs scientific limited is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Application Specialist (FAS) intern to join our dynamic team. As a Field Application specialist, on the Customer Success team you will be responsible for implementing, training, onboarding, and delivering outstanding service to our customers. You’ll need to learn the product quickly and deliver front line implementations, support, and training to users in the field. In addition, you will collaborate with our sales team, delivering customer demos and supporting customer product evaluations. The application support provided on the phone, by email or during sit visit. This is a great growth opportunity for those interested in helping to make clinical genomics a reality in the field.

Responsibilities:
• Install & configure instruments and related reagents. Set-up/optimize assays.
• Perform customer training and collect all necessary documentation.
• Provide post-sales support to the customer to aid in establishing optimal utilization of instrumentation.
• Study and research more information on assays on the instruments.
• Back-up other Technical Support Representatives during heavy workload and when required.
• Establish a plan to visit and/0r communicate with each assigned customer on cycle or frequency matching the customer’s needs and support requirements (follow up calls) Personal Requirements:
• Deep knowledge of wet lab molecular biology and genomics workflows is a must.
• A customer-facing personality, including the ability to build positive relationships and engage in scientific discussions with customers.
• A strong desire to work with customers to understand their experimental needs and recommend solutions that accomplish their scientific goals.
• Organized and able to work independently as well as on a team.
• Ability to integrate both internal and field-based resources to find creative solutions to customer requests.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting customer requests based on urgency and business value.
• Some project management experience is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written. Additional language skills are welcome.
• Excellent in laboratory skills
