JOB DETAILS:
The Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia (FAWEZA) invites applications from highly motivated and qualified individuals for the position of Finance & Administration Manager (FAM), to be stationed at its National Secretariat in Lusaka. FAWEZA is a gender justice, non-governmental, non-profit organisation advocating for equitable access to education for all especially women and girls.

Responsibilities of the Finance & Administration Manager
Reporting to the Director Finance and Compliance the Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) will be required to:
• Produce financial statements, financial narrative and liquidation reports for both earmarked and pooled funds;
• Monitor the use of funds sub-granted to provincial chapters and to education facilities/ community projects and review reports on such funds;
• Ensure that all financial transactions for the organisation are processed in the accounting package in use;
• Maintain reliable accounting records by ensuring accurate recording, preservation of accounting records and timely provision of accounting information as may be required by the National Executive Committee, donors and the management team;
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as shall be prescribed from time to time by management;
• Verify payroll entries and supervise the processing of salaries;
• Maintain an accurate asset register and ensure that all transactions are appropriately verified;
• Facilitate the timely and successful completion of organizational audits;
• Undertake timely training needs assessments for finance and administration staff.
• Supervise subordinate staff and carry out any other duties as maybe assigned by management.
• He / She must hold a full professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or any other Accounting qualifications recognised by ZICA;

Qualifications and Experience
• Must have at least three years’ post qualifying relevant experience
• Must be a full member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (“ZICA”).
• Be result-oriented and have the ability to work at own initiative; focused on attainment of organisational goals.
• Be a team leader and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Have excellent oral and written communication in English
