Africa Improved Foods (AIF), is a Public-Private Partnership focused on addressing malnutrition through the production of nutritious, high-quality fortified foods. It is a joint venture involving a number of international organizations: DSM – the largest nutrition company in the world; the World Bank (IFC); the UK Govt (CDC) the Dutch Govt (FMO). The Government of Rwanda, and the World Food Programme.
Our products are intended to address malnutrition among vulnerable population segments such as pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, older infants and young children especially in the first 1,000 days of their life. To this end, we have built a world-class food processing plant in Rwanda – to serve the East Africa region – and are now expanding into Ethiopia.
In as much as we are a commercial, for-profit organization, we also strive to have the maximum social, economic and environmental impact possible on the communities in which we operate. In this respect, we have strong working relationships with reputable NGO’s across the EAC Region.
Our model is to source raw materials from local small-holder farmers, employ, develop and to deploy local talent in the creation and growth of our fortified foods business.

Job Content

  • Responsible for booking and reconciliation of customer billing
  • Responsible for booking and reconciliation of customer payments
  • Analysis and Clearing of account receivable
  • Analysis of customer balance ageing and accrual proposal
  • monitor customer account details for non-payments delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Sorts documents and posts debits/credits to the proper account. Balances entries and makes necessary corrections
  • follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash management
  • Verifies bank statement items and totals with department records
  • Compiles routine numerical information for report purposes by hand or by running routine recurring reports on internal computer records
  • Manages first level issue with banks
  • Assists the Head of Accounting in the cash flow reconciliation and forecast
    Educational level
  • University Degree in Business Administration or Finance & Accounting, Economics (Most preferred).
  • SAP Business One Proficiency will be an added advantage.
    Required level of experience
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience working experience in the business and accounting related field/ environment.
  • Good oral presentation, writing, and reporting skills are highly desirable.
  • Very good knowledge and a strong understanding of the Rwandan Laws and Regulations, IFRSs and GAAP is highly desirable. Must have excellent computer skills with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Should be familiar with the use of Internet
