Zazu is a Fintech start-up that provides mobile payment services and financial education courses to the Zambian market.
Our vision is to create the most helpful digital money account, ever. An account that makes it easy to understand where and how your money is going, that automatically categorizes spending and gives you the data you need to make informed decisions.
Along the way, we are partnering with government departments and NGOs to bring financial education to urban and rural communities in Zambia by way of financial literacy courses that can be taken on even the most basic mobile phone.

About the role:

As the Head of Finance, you will:
• Assist in the realisation of the strategy and business plan;
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting;
• Lead and prepare monthly reconciliations, local accounts and annual reports;
• Establish financial/internal control mechanisms;
• Organise and lead annual/ad-hoc audits;
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and other finance-related laws;
• Support the development of the business strategy, including monitoring the organisation’s financial performance and ensuring departments stay on budget;
• Produce cash flow and P&L to ensure business continuity;
• Use financial analysis to support contract negotiations;
• Build and grow the finance team;.
