JOB DETAILS:
• Kawambwa Tea Industries Limited (“the Company”) is the country’s major tea producer located at Farm 9621, Off Mporokoso Road in Kawambwa District of Luapula Province in Zambia. The Company grows, processes, and packages the tea for sale. The Company started as a Government tea growing pilot project in 1969 and is now under Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) who is the 100% shareholder.
Over the years, the Company has continued to grow in size and influence and as part of its strategy, a need has arisen to fill the position of Finance Manager to be based at our estate in Kawambwa District.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
a.Managing the accounting for processes associated with the entire value chain.
b.Preparing information for management decision making.
c.Board reporting through the respective Committees.
d.Input into pricing strategy.
e.Financial Reporting.
f.Implementing internal controls.
g.Statutory compliance including Tax, NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers Compensation, etc.
h.Budgeting and Strategic Planning.
i.Driving financial strategy with respect to exports.
j.Managing statutory audits.
k.Capital management and treasury activities to ensure optimal corporate benefits.

Key Result Areas
a)Sound financial performance as demonstrated by profitability and ability to declare dividends.
b)Timely reporting to management and the Board.
c)Utmost compliance to taxation, NAPSA and WCFCB as well as other local laws and regulations.
d)Financial strategy to support market and business development.
e)Efficient capital management.
f)Return on Assets.
g)Return on Capital Employed
h)Return on Equity.

Job Specifications
• Full Grade 12 certificate with Five Merits or better
• Bachelor of Accountancy Degree, ACCA, CIMA, CA (Zambia) and/or relevant professional Qualifications. The possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.
• Valid Professional Membership
• Must be a member of ZICA
• Not less than 7+ years’ work experience with 5+ years’ experience in a similar senior management role within the finance function.
• Demonstrable experience in Putting together systems, Processes, and procedures, implementing functional internal controls and preparation of statutory financial statements for audit as well as management decision making.
• Experience in process costing with exposure to accounting in an agriculture and or manufacturing set up being an added advantage.
• Analytical ability and sound professional judgement.
• Strategic thinking.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong compliance and risk awareness.
