JOB DETAILS:
• Marie Stopes Zambia (MSZ) is a results-focused social enterprise, which uses modern marketing techniques to provide family planning and reproductive healthcare. MSZ is part of the global network that is MSI Reproductive Choices (MSI) and MSZ subscribes to the MSI goal and mission, which is to prevent unwanted births and to ensure the individual’s right to Children by Choice not Chance. MSZ’s goal is to meet the needs of underserved Zambians and dramatically improve access and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.

• Marie Stopes Zambia (MSZ) seeks a Finance Manager to provide financial support to the organisation by overseeing end-to-end financial operations and improve procedures and controls. The Finance Manager acts as a business partner to all departments, ensuring that all staff adhere to systems and processes to reduce financial risks.
• Reporting to: Finance Director
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the financial records of the Centres, Social Marketing and Outreach teams for balance sheet maintenance and for the production of monthly management accounts:
• Monitor compliance to financial policies and processes and provide support to teams in compliance through on-going review and implementation of internal audit plan.
• Properly and accurately maintaining all accounting ledgers in accordance with the MSZ protocols and timely production of accurate trial balance, including proper coding of transactions.
• Uploading E-ledger journals of budgets and ensuring accuracy.
• Carry out reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare Donor Financial Report in line with donor reporting requirements and standards.
• Preparation and Coordination of Monthly Commentaries and ensuring that they are signed off and saved in the appropriate folders on SharePoint.
• Preparation and consolidation of the monthly rolling forecast with collaboration of departmental heads.
• Prepare the monthly cash request and submit the signed version to Regional Support Team to ensure MSZ has sufficient cash resources for its operations.
• Mentoring and capacity building the team and ensure they perform as required.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications/Skills
• Full ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia (ZICA). BSc in Accounting & Finance is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of NGO experience
• Self-motivated and ready to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and management aptitude leading diverse teams remotely
• Flexibility to operate in a changing environment.
• A self starter with the ability to work under pressure.

• Able to travel extensively within Zambia
