Background
Hakan Mining & Electricity Generation Inc. (Hakan) and Quantum Power Ltd. are developing an 80 MW Peat Fired Power Plant Project through their project company YUMN Ltd- in Akanyaru Rwanda. The Project is in the construction phase and is expected to be completed in early 2020. YUMN Ltd is currently looking for a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. The position will be in Kigali.

Required qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, Statistics or related field
  
• Self-push to research and keeps updated on the current economic trends in the world and update the assumptions them to the financial model.
  
• Must hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Statistics or mathematics
  
• Hold or Pursue at an advanced level, in Masters’ Degree or Professional Certification in Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering or Mathematics or Management/Cost Accounting
  
• Knowledge of the Rwandan Tax law and IFRS
  
• 4+ years of relevant practical finance modeling experience
  
• Strong analytical, financial modeling and reporting skills
  
• Ability to work independently and comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  
• Proactive problem solver expected to present problems and recommendations simultaneously
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to present to various audiences
  
• Expert at Excel (Added advantage with VBA, Power Pivots, and Power BI working proficiency)
  
• Very High Proficiency with MS PowerPoint & Word is a must.
  
• Working proficiency with various Accounting Software is a must
  

Job Description:

• Devising compelling and well thought out modeling-based solutions to support Management in tackling business issues
  
• Maintain, enhance and develop complex financial models for budgeting and reporting processes and to evaluate long-term strategic opportunities. You will deliver real solutions by translating complex business problems into models which capture the drivers of values and risk
  
• Develop standardized financial and operational reporting, including key metrics and dashboards for dissemination to investors and executive management
  
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget including report creation, communication, and collaboration with stakeholders, financial model updates and budget presentations
  
• Create monthly tracking reports and perform analysis of financial information to drive the forecasting process and strategic decisions for all departments, supporting them with the requisite financial management tools.
  
• Work to continuously improve controls, validations, and to streamline the reporting and modeling processes.
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the forecast and reporting processes
  
• Assist in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required
  
• Align the IFRS and Tax Statutory reporting with the residual shareholder value.
  
• Any other Duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
