JOB DETAILS:
Bigtree Brands (BTB) is a dynamic Company and has rapidly grown into one of the largest beverage companies in Zambia. We are urgently searching for highly motivated and result oriented individuals.

LOCATION: MULTI FACILITY ECONOMIC ZONE (MFEZ), LUSAKA

9. FORKLIFT OPERATORS

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials and products within the warehouse and manufacturing areas of the Bigtree Beverages plant. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of materials, supporting production schedules, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency in line with World Class Manufacturing principles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Material Handling: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials and products within the warehouse and production areas.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and operating procedures for forklift operation and material handling. Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards related to warehouse operations and material handling.
• Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials and products stored in the warehouse.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure they are in safe and proper working condition.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Warehouse team, Production Planners, and Supply Chain staff to coordinate material movements and storage. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
• Housekeeping & Organizing: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to facilitate efficient operations and ensure safety.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Must be certified as competent FLT Driver via a certified body with a Valid forklift operator certification and clean driving record.
• Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, preferably within the beverage or related industries
• Physical fitness and good eyesight
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
