About the Foundation
A Chance for Change Foundation is a non-profit organization raising funds to support entrepreneurship initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with the urgency to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s entrepreneurs. We have several programmes designed to grow and support Zambian businesses.
We believe that by supporting the creation and growth of businesses, we will curb the high unemployment levels, which stand at 12.2 per cent and the youth unemployment rate standing at 22.63 per cent reported by International Labor Organization (ILO) in 2020. A Chance for Change Foundation will always put the marginalized at heart to raise funds for their startup businesses or business expansion with a flexible repayment structure. Our Business Incubation Programme provides entrepreneurs with a knowledge-filled environment to successfully develop their businesses.
We strive to support the growth and success of entrepreneurs and startups through the delivery of world-class incubation and acceleration programmes that are accompanied by funding. A Chance for Change Foundation supports the environment for innovative local enterprises to sustain and scale-up, assisting long-term economic development and increasing sustainable employment in Zambia.
Job Description
We are recruiting for a driven Fundraiser to increase funds for the organisation. As a Fundraiser, you will be responsible for developing fundraising programs, recruiting sponsors and volunteers, and encouraging support through promotional activities. You will also be adept at developing and maintaining professional relationships.
To succeed as a Fundraiser, you should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong leadership qualities. Ultimately, a high performing Fundraiser can perform under pressure, possessing exceptional organizational and presentation skills.
Fundraiser Requirements
• Experience in a Fundraising position.
• Creativity and persuasion skills.

• Communication skills
Fundraiser Responsibilities
• Researching potential sponsors.
• Writing funding proposals and sending these to potential sponsors.
• Creating marketing and promotional activities.
• Developing fundraising events.
• Maintaining records of sponsors.
• Organizing campaigns that will lead to donations.
• Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors.
• Organize campaigns or events to solicit donations
• Use online platforms to raise donations
Qualification
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, English, or business. Degrees in other subjects also may be acceptable.
