JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Field Engineer, Zambia will be responsible for the management, reliability and availability of the technical laboratory equipment owned by Authentix as used within the fuel marker program in Zambia (and as such is located in-country). In addition, the Associate Field Engineer will also assist with any other programs or opportunities within Zambia as needed and as directed by the Senior Director of Field Maintenance. The objective of this position is to attend equipment breakdowns and to conduct routine maintenance on instrumentation and ensure that contractual agreed quantities of instrumentation are available to the client and our partners. The Associate Field Engineer will also assist the other field engineers within region and give technical support to Program Managers, client staff and program partners as required.. .

Job Responsibilities:

2. Give technical support to Program Managers, client staff and program partners as required
3. Execute all planned maintenance activity in accordance with Authentix procedures and attend equipment breakdown as required
4. Travel inside Zambia and occasional international travel to meet the objectives of the business to train, install, maintain and decommission laboratory instrumentation.
5. Train local partner and client personnel
6. Focus on continuous improvement
7. Work closely and flexibly with internal and external clients

Job Qualifications:
• BS in Science or Engineering
• Proficiency with Windows software
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to exercise complex analytical skills and to make decisions based on established company guidelines
• Excellent communication in written and verbal form
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong initiative and sense of ownership with all aspects of the job
• Comfort and flexibility to travel internationally if required
• Effective time management
