JOB DETAILS:
Our client in the transport and logistics industry is looking to employee a Gardner. The role holder will play a key role in enhancing the lodge’s natural surroundings by pursuing activities such as planting, pruning, and caring for trees, flowers, and other plants, as well as ensuring the overall upkeep of the outdoor areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
– Plan and execute landscaping projects to enhance the surroundings visual appeal.
– Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants on lodge grounds.
– Prune and trim trees and bushes to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance.
-Perform routine maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, and fertilizing.
– Monitor the health of plants and address pest or disease issues.
– Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
– Uphold health and safety standards in all gardening activities.
– Provide recommendations for plant selections and landscape improvements.
– Experience in swimming pool maintenance

Qualifications, Skills, Proficiency, Experience and Exposure:
– Grade 12 Certificate
– Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
– Knowledge of local plant species and their care requirements.
– Familiarity with landscaping principles and design.
– Ability to operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
– Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to creating a visually appealing landscape.
– Basic communication skills in English.
– Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
