JOB DETAILS:
Job Description:As a geography and agriculture teacher, your primary responsibility will be to educate and inspire students in the fields of geography and agriculture. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, designing and implementing curriculum, and assessing student progress.Key Responsibilities:
• Teach geography and agriculture subjects to students at the assigned grade level(s).
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the Zambian curriculum and educational standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation and engagement.
• Assess student learning through various methods, such as tests, projects, and presentations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary activities and projects.
• Stay updated with current trends and developments in geography and agriculture education.
• Foster a passion for sustainable agriculture practices and environmental stewardship among students.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, agriculture, or a related field. A teaching qualification is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience, preferably in geography and agriculture, is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the Zambian curriculum and educational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to learn and explore geography and agriculture.
• Organizational skills to plan lessons, manage classroom activities, and assess student progress.
• Familiarity with technology and its integration into teaching practices is desirable.
