Job description
The position will be based in Lusaka, Zambia, and will report to the Chief Scientific Officer and the Finance Director. The incumbent will perform the following roles and responsibilities:
• Ensuring that grant applications are properly prepared according to the specifications of the donor agency or organization.
• Guide and manage budgets and expenditure for projects.
• Manage the grant management system.
• Develop and implement accountability policies and procedures.
• Guide the proposal writing team on the requirements of the RFP.
• Follow-up of responses from donor agencies and organizations.
• Develop and implement grant application strategies.
• Identify and analyze funding opportunities, risks, and opportunities.
• Participate in drafting final reports for the project.
• Work closely with research staff on project implementation and guide on donor requirements.
• Any other business.
