POSITION: GRAPHIC DESIGNER (1 vacancy)
REPORTING LINE: HEAD OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING DEPARTMENT
The purpose of the job is to develop graphics and promotional material to ensure timely availability of quality marketing content for the successful implementation of the bank’s vision, values and marketing strategy.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
Liaise with the IT department on updating marketing content on the bank’s website and intranet to ensure the data is updated and accurate at all times;
Develop and execute strategies that are intended to create and uphold a positive public image for clients
Ensure brand consistency in all advertising efforts and branches
Provide technical support and advise on planning publicity strategies and campaigns
Provide technical assistance on all Bank events.
Design and produce internal and external publications such as newsletters, brochures, fliers, and memos for timely execution of marketing activities;
Control the quality of promotional materials and merchandise during production to ensure value for money for the bank;
Create marketing support materials & templates that include adverts, press release templates, corporate social responsibility pictorial which are based on an approved thematic style for timely implementation of marketing activities
Timely design of quality marketing products
Developed and well-maintained intranet site
Quality merchandise production by suppliers.
Required skills and capabilities
To qualify for this role applicants must have the following:
Ability to copy type work methodically and accurately
Capacity to take initiative and to be creative in interpreting design requirements
Proficient knowledge on computer skills and creative design application knowledg
Must be creative, with an eye for good design
Ability to be able to follow a design brief closely and accurately
Ability to be able to prioritize a varied workload
Should be able to work well with the team, under pressure and to strict deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to new creative briefs and work methodically while paying attention to details
Strong customer service orientation
Experience in dealing with the media
Understanding of brand protection and growing value in a brand
Certificate / Diploma in Graphic Design.
Experience of 3 years or more in Graphic Design (ie: Adobe CS)
