JOB DETAILS:
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. requires a HSE Officer / HSE Supervisor based in our PV Solar site in Leopard hill Lusaka, Zambia.

Brief Roles & Responsibilities Include: -
• Implement the project HSE standard through embedding systems, training staff and continuous auditing of behaviour;
• Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor safety representatives and/or foremen to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on site.
• Coordinating & communicating with the management on matter relating safety & health.
• Monitoring safety performance of sub-contractor
• Promoting occupational health & safety at every opportunity and leading by self-example.
• Compliance safe work procedure

Assist HSE Manager.
• Carrying out inspection and ensuring application of improvement resulting from the inspection.
• Carrying out: Safety survey, Safety Tour, Hazard Identification, Safety Inspection, Job Safety Analysis, Equipment inspection, Work Permit & Safety Audit.
• Ensure that Subcontractors are conducting the proper training requirements as per the HSE standards. If necessary, facilitate training for site personnel for compliance with Federal and State standards.

Experience – 10+ years.
Knowledge – Local safety regulations & laws
Qualifications – Graduate or Diploma in Engineering with additional qualification in Safety.

Level of Education: Associate Degree
