JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
• To promote a safe workplace, providing training and awareness to all employees.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities, Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Strategically implement the company HSEC strategy.
• Ensure the HSEC policy is rolled out to operational employees.
• Reporting of leading and lagging indicators LTIFR, TIFR, TRCR.
• Investigating/recording incidents, accidents and cases relating to Occupational Health and Safety.
• HSE induction to all levels of management and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
• Undertake risk assessments for all jobs hand in hand with Heads of Departments and enforce preventive measures.
• Perform legal and operational HSE inspections and ensure a CAPA register is maintained.
• Promote the reporting of near misses and at-risk behaviours and conditions.
• Work with teams daily to drive a robust HSE culture.
• Determine critical risks and strategically plan to implement prevention plans. Identify and analyse leading indicators to provide technical HSE reports.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• HSE auditing skills. Recognized HSE qualification for the industry (Safety, Environmental, Health, Risk)
• Excellent excel and power point presentation skills.
• Risk identification skills.
• Work with a team and lead the operational HSE strategy.
• Conduct incident investigations.
