JOB DETAILS:
• Allocation of guides to activities and guests in line with booking sheets and transfers
• Coordinate guides projects and reports
• Guide guests in accordance with the Guides Code of Conduct
• Communicate with the Brand Ambassador with regards to guides performance and development
• Training of junior guides
• Management of guides documentation and assignments.
• Vehicle check lists and logbooks
• Recording of wildlife sighting
• Hand over from guides who are going on leave and off days of outstanding issues
• Reporting of guest issues to management
• Reporting of vehicle / boat issues to management and maintenance
• Scheduling of leave and off days in conjunction with management
• Coordinating with management ways to enhance the guest experience
• Build relationships with the local authorities to ensure smooth communication and good working environment
• Build relationships with the local communities and ensure that the African Bush Camps Foundation vision is shared with the guests and guides
• Ensure guides are communicating on the company’s digital platforms
• Handover of responsibilities to stand-in Activities Manager
• Conduct monthly meetings and communicate with management on outstanding issues
• Conduct spot checks on guides company equipment, e.g. ponchos, hot boxes, first aid kits
• Ensure guides discipline is maintained at all times and with management discipline when necessary
Uphold the Guides Code of Conduct
Qualifications
• O’levels school certificate
• Full Guiding Qualifications (Angling Guide, Transfer Guide, Wildlife safari driving Guide certificate, certificate of competency as a launch master, Canoeing)
• Professional guides permit for Musi oa Tunya National Park
• PSV Qualified Drivers license
• Previous experience in a similar establishment is advantageous.
• First Aid certification
• Friendly and pleasant personality
