Lead and Transform - Opportunity for an Experienced Head of Technical Operations (Planning, Strategy, Support, Operations & Maintenance)
Responsibilities
Strategic Service Delivery
· Create, manage, implement and improve support and maintenance services to provide robust and highly available network systems.
· Direct and manage for 2nd and 3rd tier network support.
· Be actively involved in the design and implementation of the network systems for maintenance purposes.
· Plan, direct and coordinate the operational and tactical activities of the various groups of FTEs’ that are responsible for support and service delivery across the organization.
· Ensure that all deliverables are met per contract KPI’s and CPI’s
· Actively and consistently recommend and support all efforts to improve simplify, automate and enhance day to day operations and the client experience within area of responsibility.
· Support all initiatives aimed at performance and quality improvement, including leading change management efforts within area of responsibility
· Participate in operational meetings with the customer.
· Deploy and manage consistent, structured and disciplined systems, policies and procedures to ensure stable and quality product & service delivery consistent with company objectives and customer expectations.
Resource Management & Utilization
· Manage analytical resources within service delivery timelines and within budget.
· Identify and assemble the optimal combination of personnel, technologies, and methodologies to meet current and near-term requirements
· Translate the organizational objectives into feasible work-plans.
· Create contingency plans to meet changes in business circumstances.
· Set direction and policies for multiple locations, technologies, and/or specialty disciplines.
· Effectively support the planning and tracking of multiple projects i.e resource planning and allocation, task delegation to accomplish project goals and objectives, ensuring timely resolution of issues using escalation if necessary, creation of on-going status and evaluation reports as well as reporting on employee performance
Reporting
· Ensure relevant and timely reporting to the technical and executive team as stipulated and as agreed upon
Qualifications
· Minimum BSc degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or Technology (Telecommunications), or Computer Science/IT Minimum 3 Years’ experience in a similar role within a busy environment
· Minimum 8 years relevant experience, 3 years’ management experience (mid to senior management) directly managing telecom staff and projects.
· Project Management experience and certification, Telecommunications Planning & Operations
· Proficient in Planning, operations, Networking and governance in addition Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Fluency in both oral & written English
