JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Horticulturist to oversee the cultivation, care, and maintenance of plants, trees, flowers, and landscape design. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plant biology, environmental conditions, and horticultural practices, and will be able to develop and execute programs to maintain healthy, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing plant collections and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities :
• Plant Cultivation & Care: Plan, plant, and maintain diverse plant species, including trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring optimal health and growth.
• Landscape Design: Design and execute landscape plans to enhance outdoor spaces, ensuring sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional layouts.
• Soil and Fertilization Management: Conduct soil analysis, apply fertilizers, and create soil treatment plans to maintain healthy plant growth.
• Pest and Disease Management: Monitor plant health, identify and treat pest infestations and diseases using eco-friendly methods when possible.
• Greenhouse & Nursery Management: Oversee operations of greenhouses and nurseries, including planting schedules, propagation techniques, and inventory management.
• Irrigation Planning: Design and manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering, efficient resource use, and minimal waste.
• Seasonal Planning: Develop seasonal planting schedules, taking into account climate conditions and the specific requirements of different plant species.
• Budget Management: Assist with budgeting for horticultural operations, including plant purchases, equipment, and supplies.
• Environmental Conservation: Promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in all aspects of horticulture, including water conservation, soil health, and habitat preservation.
• Community Engagement: Participate in educational programs, workshops, or community events to promote horticultural knowledge and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications :
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in horticulture, landscape management, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of plant care, soil management, and pest control.
• Familiarity with landscape design principles and irrigation systems.
• Ability to operate and maintain horticultural tools and equipment.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage with various audiences.

Physical Requirements :
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, digging, and working on uneven terrain.
