JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, Routers, enterprise software, security systems and optimize internal IT infrastructure for greater productivity
Principal Accountabilities (Main Duties)
• Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
• Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
• Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
• Creating user accounts and performing access control.
• Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
• Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
• Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
• Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems. Supervising and mentoring IT department employees, as well as providing IT support.
• Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits or better including Mathematics and English.
• Minimum of an earned Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or its equivalent from an accredited and reputable College/University
• Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification.
• Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
• Extensive Knowledge of SAGE Pastel 200 Evolution Accounting Package
• Must be conversant and have the ability to oversee the Student Leaner Data Management system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Membership to the Computer Society of Zambia will be an added advantage though not a must.

• Knowledge of MS SQL Server
