Description
• The information technology coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities across the department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installations, upgrades and troubleshooting on our company’s assets. You will also provide our staff with training on using hardware, software, and cloud-based services and manage the network, and more. To ensure success as an IT coordinator, you should display the strong technical aptitude needed to help staff solve their technical issues as quickly as possible and handle projects.

Duties:
• Manage and maintain all technological equipment
• Implement and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Management and control of IT inventory
• Provide staff training on the use of hardware, software and other services
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Proactively identify system vulnerabilities and maintenance needs and timely address them
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Ensure all projects and initiatives are within the stipulated budget
• Handle system administration, passwords and access keys
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT support. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and user experience.

Requirements
Level: Junior to mid-senior
• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is usually preferred
• Certifications: While not always mandatory, certifications such as CompTIA A+ and N+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) will have a competitive advantage
• Experience: Prior 3 years or more experience in IT management or a similar role is highly valuable. Candidates with a proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining technological equipment and systems will be preferred.
• Data Security and Backup: Knowledge of data security measures, network access controls, and data backup systems to safeguard critical information.
• Training Skills: Experience in providing training to staff members on hardware, software, and other IT services to enhance their technological proficiency.
• System Administration: Proficiency in handling system administration tasks, including managing user accounts, passwords, and access keys.
• Inventory Management: Ability to manage IT inventory, including procurement, asset tracking, and disposal.
