JOB DETAILS:

JOB TITLE: IT Technician(1 Position)
We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Providing advice about the advantages of particular software, services, equipment or products.
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Persuading potential customers to purchase products, leading price negotiations and achieving set sales targets ensuring sustained business growth and profitability.
• Advising customers of updates and new technologies.
• Being familiar with competitors’ activities and products.
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and maintenance schedule.
• Sourcing prospective new clients and maintaining regular contact with existing.
• Fully understanding customer’s needs and requirements and providing them with timely responses and solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts etc)..

Job Qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate with a Diploma in Computer Studies or an ICT related course with atleast two (2) years of relevant work experience in an IT sales environment.
• A degree in Computer Studies will be an added advantage
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Ability to negotiate and persuade customers.
• In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
• Able to work with minimum supervision..
