JOB DETAILS:
1. Job Purpose
• The Information Security Analyst will report to the Head of IT and Service Delivery and is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s information systems, data assets, and sensitive information by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital resources, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and enhancing the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture. The Information Security Analyst works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish, monitor, and continually improve security measures to protect against evolving cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

2. Key Responsibilities
• Reviewing Digital Shared Services Limited’s computer networks to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Installing the necessary software to protect the company’s computer networks from unauthorized access and documenting detections so that future breaches can be mitigated efficiently.
• Documenting security breaches and assessing the damage they cause.
• Fixing detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
• Developing company-wide best practices for IT security.
• Performing regular penetration tests.
• Managing SIEM, EDR, Intune, Defender for Office 365.
• Proactively monitoring and reacting to threats, vulnerabilities, and outages.
• Managing the security framework on the Company’s Azure Portal.
• Reporting: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly vulnerability reports.
• Responding to and resolving Information Assurance risks within acceptable times.
• Ensuring a robust patching regime is followed and completed.
• Providing security policy framework compliance by proactive security information and event management.
• Identifying threats and providing advice and guidance on the application and operation of all types of IT Security controls.
• Leading the review and revision of procedures relating to security control of all IT environments, systems, products, or services to demonstrate continual improvement in control, including the creation of auditable records, user documentation, and security awareness literature.

3. Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
• Grade 12 Certificate with a credit or above in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
• Experience with managing and securing both on-premise and hosted systems and applications.
• Experience with application and database security.
• One or more of the following certifications: CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC.
• Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or a similar role.
• Experience in information security or a related field.
• Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
• Experience in implementing security frameworks NIST/ISO/IEC 27001/ISO/IEC 27002.
