JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To effectively manage inventory through the development and utilization of systems and procedures that ensure the availability of materials for smooth operations of the Institution.
Principal Accountabilities (Main Duties)
• Manages the operations of the LIBES Inventory Management System through the management of stock parameters to effectively control stocks and avoid overstocking, stock-outs, and ensure correct usage at all times.
• Plans and coordinates the replenishment of stock materials to ensure smooth operations of the LIBES
• Carries out spot checks to verify the accuracy of stock records and ensures that inventories are secure and safe to prevent losses/damages.
• Designs and reviews stores record-keeping systems for the efficient management of stock at the LIBES
• Reviews and recommends identified redundant and obsolete stocks for disposal
• Prepares and produces periodic reports on the operations of the store’s section for management’s decision-making.
• Contributes to the development and review of Stores Procedures Manual to ensure compliance and efficiency of store management.
• Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and procurement planning for all stock items to meet the LIBES annual operational requirements.
• Performs any other related duties that the supervisor may reasonably request from time to time.
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with credits or better.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits or better including Mathematics and English.
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply
• Fresh Graduates are encouraged in Stores Management are encouraged to apply
• Member of ZIPS or CIPS
• Thorough knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures of Supply chain management
• Proficiency in Inventory Management Systems will be an added advantage.
• Must be a fully paid-up member to relevant professional bodies.
• Strong ICT skills.
