Work Schedule: Full Time 40 hours/Week
Starting Salary: ZMW 83,651.00/Annum
Janitor: VA- 06/2023

General Description
Under the supervision of the Provincial Programs Coordinator (PPC), the Janitor is responsible for performing all janitorial work at the Peace Corps office and maintaining clean and tidy office spaces and grounds. S/he would also perform manual work by helping to load and unload Peace Corps property in storage areas and motor vehicles.
Main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Laundry
Launder sheets and towels as needed, Blankets, bedspreads, and pillows monthly.
House
• Empty trash
• Dusting
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Empty compost
• Clean bathrooms (Toilets, tubs, floors, basin, and countertops
• Clean the counters and stove top.
• Clean kitchen utensils

Office, Guard Office, and Storage/Outbuildings
• Empty all trash,
• Dust
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Clean bathrooms (Toilets, tubs, floors, basin, and countertops
Porches
• Clean surfaces and rugs
• Sweeping and mopping floor

Required Qualifications
In order to be selected for this position, the applicant must be legally eligible to work in Zambia, and must submit an application that clearly documents how they meet each of the following requirements:
• Three years janitorial work experience in a professional office setting.
• Knowledge of janitorial duties for both offices and residences
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work.
• Experience working for an international organization will be an added advantage.
• Completion of senior secondary school will be an added advantage.
