JOB DETAILS:
Lecturers- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Overview
• Contributing to the preparation and revision of courses/subjects of study, syllabi and other instructional materials as requested.
• Undertaking effectively, the preparation of schemes, daily records of work and lesson plans for the respective courses/subjects to facilitate effective training programs delivery.
• Undertaking to hand in schemes of work five days before the beginning of the term to the HOD for checking.
• Keeping a record of student/teaching results and file.
• Training, Examining and Assessing the students/pupils and keep a record for students’ CAs.
• Ensuring that lecturing/teaching is effectively done during the specified period in order for the students/pupils to acquire the relevant knowledge and skills.
• To produce modules for the students to easily follow the lessons and;
• Undertaking to manage students/pupils and the classroom and;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors or management.
Qualifications/Qualities:
• Grade twelve certificate or its equivalent.
• Valid teaching /education methodology training.
• Valid accreditation with the teaching council of Zambia.
• Minimum of Bachelors’ Degree of Mathematics from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of Bachelors’ Degree of Physics/Chemistry from a reputable institution.
• At least 3 years of teaching/lecturing.
• Exceptional demonstration of proficiency of computer Microsoft word package especially MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and;
• Ability to multi task and work with minimum supervision.
3 years Contract renewable subject to performance.
