JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
The logistics manager will be in charge of leading and supervising the company’s logistics operations.
Their main responsibilities include;
1. Handling and oversee international and domestic End to End shipments and project cargo, from Quotation to Delivery
2. Setting objectives and guidelines based on extensive knowledge in mining logistics contracts
3. Managing timelines
4. Assessing the strengths and weaknesses of operations
5. Implementing solutions to address any issues
6. Oversee and supervise all logistics projects in the company, from beginning to end
7. Successfully build open and trusting relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
8. Address and manage RFQs and Tender-RFQs received from partner carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with local, regional and global logistics companies

Qualifications And Experience
1. Tertiary qualification preferred (National Higher diploma or bachelor) in any relevant field e.g. Business/Commerce or Logistics/Supply Chain or similar.
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in mining logistics or similar environment.
2. Experience having managed operations arising in contracts to haul ores and concentrates within mines. eg. Traming etc.
3. Extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management with a strong understanding of processes, practices, and systems.
3.Proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings in logistics operations.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
6. Effective time management skills and the ability to balance multiple and competing priorities.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
8. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
