SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is a child focused organization that provides direct services in the areas of care, education and health for children at risk of losing parental care, and those who have lost parental care.
Associations.SOS Children's Villages is non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational, and non-racial and has been operational in Rwanda since 1979. The overall mission of the organization is to build families for children in need, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities. SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is legally registered as a National Association. To realize the mission of the organization, SOS CV Rwanda is recruiting one Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (M&E) who will be responsible for making regular follow up of the data entry from field officers and supporting both qualitative and quantitative data collection processes following the project's reporting schedule.
Purpose of the Position
The purpose of the job position is to ensure youth empowerment through skills for access to job and the following tasks will be performed:
• To Support both qualitative and quantitative data collection processes following the project's reporting schedule;
• To facilitate training of youth from SOS Children's Villages Rwanda and from communities.
• To make regular follow up of the data entry from field officers.
• To sensitize youths on the formation and management of Villages Saving and Loans Associations (VSLA) and cooperatives
• To Facilitate linkages between youths and Micro Finance Institution (MFls)
Key Functions
• To ensure that the training on all modules of Work Readiness Now and Be Your Own Boss is completed
• To elaborate on the M&E tools/Systems
• To ensure the data Entry by the M&E Follow
• To ensure punctuality and assiduity of M&E fellow
• To ensure the data collection gathering and documentation
• To prepare the narrative and data reports and their timely submission;
• To support the trainers and youth in training in filling of registration forms
Required Competencies and Skills
• At least 3-years’ experience in community development
• Fluent oral/written English skills required, Rwanda local languages preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business and administration, Social work, Sociology, Statistics, and Economics.
• Well-developed facilitation, group leadership, and presentation skills
• Ability to elaborate the project of youth
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, power point)
