JOB DETAILS:
Job-Maintenance Supervisor
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for maintenance of the institution facilities and ensuring smooth running of operations.
Requirements
• An excellent Maintenance Supervisor who is reliable and have an appropriate eye for detail.
• He/ She must have Technical Skills and knowledge of various crafts such as Carpentry, Plumbing
• Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential.
• The goal is to ensure that facilities are in good and safe condition at all times.

Reporting to:
Head Human Resource
Responsibilities
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
• Help with recruitment, supervise and training of maintenance technicians
• Hire and supervise tradesmen during installation, repairs or maintenance (Electricians, plumbing etc)
• Inspect and maintain building systems (Heating, ventilation etc)
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
• Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Do any other maintenance related work as need may be

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Must have a Certificate in electrical engineering or related field
• Must have a valid driving license
• Must be between 35 to 45 year
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar
• Strong Technical Knowledge of all Building Systems (Electrical, Heating etc.)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and regulations
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities
• An eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
