JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
To manage planning, research, and resource mobilization functions to facilitate the implementation of programs and generate information for decision-making.

Key Result Areas and Principal Accountabilities
1. Planning:
o Coordinate the effective preparation of corporate and multisectoral plans and budgets to ensure harmonized implementation of food and nutrition programs.
2. Budget Tracking:
o Track multisectoral food and nutrition budgets effectively to facilitate the implementation of appropriate interventions.
3. Resource Mobilization:
o Manage the preparation of investment plans and project proposals to mobilize resources effectively.
4. Research:
o Coordinate research on food and nutrition to ensure evidence-based policy formulation and programming.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
o Manage the monitoring and evaluation of food and nutrition programs to determine their effectiveness and implement appropriate interventions.
6. Information System:
o Maintain a national food and nutrition information system to ensure the availability of up-to-date information.
7. Nutrition Surveillance:
o Coordinate the implementation of a nutrition surveillance system to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate interventions.
8. ICT:
o Manage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) functions to facilitate smooth operations.
9. Management:
o Supervise human resources and ensure effective utilization of financial resources for efficient unit operations.
10. Performance Management:
• Implement performance management systems to improve individual and unit productivity.

Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with 2 years at management level.
• Valid membership in a relevant professional body.
• Computer literacy.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Ability to write analytical and technical reports.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Capacity to work with people of different cultures.
• Proficiency in data analysis packages.
