JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview: The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to increase student enrollment. The incumbent will utilise a mix of digital and social media marketing, alongside other effective marketing strategies to attract local and international students.
This role will also include reaching potential students from neighboring countries such as Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa. In this regard, the Marketing Manager will be required to facilitate services such as study permit assistance for students arriving from outside Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Execute Marketing
Strategies:
– Devise comprehensive marketing strategies to boost student enrollment, considering both local and international markets.
-Utilize digital and social media platforms and other marketing tools effectively to enhance brand visibility and attract prospective students.
2. Student Recruitment:
– Devise strategies to attract students within Zambia.
– Identify and target potential students from neighbouring countries i.e.
Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa, etc.
– Develop campaigns and outreach programs to promote ZAOU as an attractive destination for local and international students.
– Collaborate with relevant authorities and immigration services to facilitate study permit processes for international students.
– Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and provide support to students throughout the visa application process.
3. Collaborate with Educational Partners:
– Establish and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, agencies, and organizations locally and in neighboring countries to enhance recruitment efforts.
4. Market Research and Analysis:
– Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for student enrollment growth.
– Analyze data and feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve
campaign effectiveness.
– Generate new business leads.
5. Budget Management:
– Develop and manage budgets for marketing campaigns, ensuring cost- effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
6. Brand Development and Awareness:
– Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to strengthen the university’s brand image and promote its unique value proposition.
7. Event Coordination:
– Organize and participate in recruitment events, fairs, and conferences to engage with prospective students and provide information about ZAOU.
8. Reporting and Analysis:
– Provide regular reports on key performance indicators, including enrolment numbers, conversion rates, and the effectiveness of marketing channels.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
– Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
– At least two years’ experience as a marketing manager.
– Proven experience in marketing and student recruitment, preferably in the
education sector.
– Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and emerging trends in the field.
– Experience in international student recruitment and knowledge of immigration
processes.
– Data-driven decision-making and proficiency in data analysis tools.
– Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute marketing plans.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities.
– Strong time management and organizational abilities.
– Familiarity with the education landscape in Southern Africa is an added advantage
