About the job
• Materials:
• Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
• Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
• Coordination:
• Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Preparing cost estimates and performance reports
• Laison/ Management:
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
• Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
Additional accountabilities:
Working with the Sales & Customer Service Teams
• compile and analyse data over time to forecast sales trends.
• Populate and share daily sales Report and warehouse recon.
• update Customer store universe File.
• Communicate with management team regularly
• Review past sales data to determine trends in productivity
• Monitor and share reports on Sales team route management by using Java’s app
• Check and sure that Sales data is properly submitted in Java’s app system.
• Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources.
• Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success.
• Calculate Sales incentives for sales team and monitor adherence to trading terms from Customers
• Generate monthly Sales forecast using Sales trends and sales budget.
Skills and knowledge
• Minimum: Degree/Higher Diploma from recognized institution in business, logistics, inventory management, marketing or a related field;
• 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
• advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
• superior oral and written communication skills
• high level of organization and detail-orientation
• strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
• good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
