MECHANIC. .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to driver complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Any other duties as instructed by the Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate;
• Minimum of a Craft Certificate in HER/ Mechanics from a recognized institution;
• Must have a valid EIZ Membership;
• Must have a Valid drivers’ license;
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the respective field
