JOB DETAILS:
Star Milling Limited requires the services of a qualified person to fill the position of Mill Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Purpose
Responsible for the Quality Assurance function and implementation of quality systems, assure effective change management and drive continuous process improvement. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversees the supervision of the In-process quality assurance laboratory and provides direction in testing procedures and practices in collaboration with the Head Miller.
• Coaches technical and manufacturing personnel on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and food safety practices.
• Provides direction and decisions on the disposition of in-process and finished products.
• Assists in the ISO 22000 food safety program. This requires communication with and training for personnel involved with ISO certification.
• Manages all quality assurance, sanitation, pest control and laboratory functions for the Mill.

Qualification and Requirements:
• Bachelors’ degree in food science, milling science, chemistry, or biology.
• Minimum of five years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance with a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience with multiple manufacturing processes, including dry processing, preferred.
• Knowledgeable of the ISO 22000 certification food safety program
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required.
