About AKA:
AKA is a registered National Non-Government Organization (NGO) operating under the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) certificate No 66/RGB/NGO/2016. AKA’s mission is providing Rwandan youth with employability skills, capital and support to take advantage of economic opportunities. Currently, AKA is implementing multiple donor’s projects.

DUTIES
The M&E Coordinator will work under AKA Deputy Director in Charge of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Planning to undertake tasks related to monitoring and evaluation of the project .S/he will design, implement and assess M&E Plan including tools and system and ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection and reporting of results for the project indicators, against the agreed targets and methods for collecting information on project activities.

Essential functions include [but not limited to]:

• Take a lead in the design and implementation of M&E Plan including development of indicators, tools for data collection and M&E system in place.
• Contribute to ongoing updates of the monitoring systems and reporting schedule;
• Collect both qualitative and quantitative data for indicators to track implementation;
• Coordinate M&E capacity building and training;
• Undertake field visits on M&E activities and ensure documentation of project results in accordance with Donors and project’s strategic objectives and indicators;
• Conduct project evaluation studies and data collection.
• Assist to identify ,document and disseminate lessons learned, challenges and success stories;
• Guide technical staff to prepare their progress reports and ensure their timely submission;
• Provide data quality control/assurance and best practices on data collected and used;
• Organize and conduct external assessment for Work Readiness training graduates along with project’s field officer and ensure marking and proper filing of external assessment files;
• Assist in preparing consolidated project progress reports;
• Coordinate the youth tracking program to help document and understand the different types of jobs in which youth transition after trainings;
• Any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3-4 years in statistics, Economics, IT or a management related field with strong computer skills and understanding of statistical analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, MS Access, SQL, VBA or any others
• Strong communication skills;
•  Three years of experience working in Monitoring and Evaluation, preferably on USAID funded projects.
