JOB DETAILS:
About The Role:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (M&E Coordinator) will play a critical role in the implementation of Kobold Metals Zambia’s social investment and management programs. The M&E Coordinator will be responsible for designing and executing monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring the effective tracking and assessment of program outcomes, and facilitating continuous improvement of program activities. The Coordinator will report project progress, detect deviations and suggest project adjustments when required. Additionally, verify compliance to IFC and other standards. Administers assurance and compliance of consultants

Reporting to the Social Performance Lead, responsibilities of this position include:
1. Effectively manage the Monitoring and Evaluation aspects of the Community Development and Investment Program to deliver the desired outcome and results within budget, quality and schedule.
2. Support the delivery of detailed Business Plans for the development and implementation of income generating programs that identifies key project milestones and outputs required to make the project a success
3. Produce detailed Action Plans and procurement process for the implementation of community development initiatives.
4. Conduct regular field visits to ensure accurate data collection and verify the quality of the information gathered and investments.
5. Establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders as appropriate, such as farming households, farmer cooperatives, financial institutions and relevant government agencies
6. Develop project work plans and ensure timely implementation of project activities in line with work plans and activity schedules.
7. Compile and submit regular reports on program progress, challenges, and successes.
8. Coordinate activities required for ensuring the financial, material and human resources for the quality implementation of various projects.
9. Effectively manage consultants and provide technical assistance where needed and contribute to capacity strengthening and required interventions to support quality project implementation.
10. Ensure the provision of quality data on a timely basis for internal project management and external reporting purposes by establishing and maintaining a comprehensive database for program monitoring and evaluation data.
11. Maintain all external and internal parties informed on the projects progress
12. Assists the team on the analysis of social risks, opportunities and maintain the Social risk register

Other tasks
1. Supports the implementation of the Sustainable Livelihoods Program. More specifically:
1. Analyze the livelihoods and economic capital of producing families and farms in our area of influence
2. Analyze the potential for the strengthening and diversification of sustainable livelihoods of producing households.
3. Identify opportunities across agricultural value chains (from farmer to market).
4. Identify, through a participatory approach, opportunities and risks associated with the stakeholder’s livelihoods in relations to the objectives of the Sustainable livelihoods Program
5. Support the creation of alliances and coordinate partnership with local agri-focused organizations with a significant extension network to help with farmer mobilization and buy-in during the implementation phase.
6. Work with relevant government agencies to ensure alignment with national efforts towards the development of climate resilient agricultural development

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have;
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Economics, Development Studies, Social Work, Agricultural Economics, Natural Resources Management or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in community development social investment programs.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in M&E methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills, with experience using data analysis software
• Knowledge of database management and data visualization tools.

In addition to the above, you will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Personal Attributes:
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing program needs and priorities.
