JOB DETAILS:
We are a leading logistics and manufacturing company that supplies industrial and mining chemicals. Via a global network of manufacturing and logistics professionals, we meet customer expectations through timely delivery of goods and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
The company now seeks the services of highly motivated, qualified, and experienced individuals for its Gypsum manufacturing plant located in Ndola’s Heavy Industrial Area. Applications are invited for the following roles;

1. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (1)
Reporting to the General Manager
Job Summary
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for implementation and management of all mechanical maintenance for the chemical manufacturing processes. They will analyse existing production processes to identify opportunities for improvement of the machine and equipment handling, and maintenance, and work closely with production teams to implement changes for improved productivity.

Key Responsibilities
• As regards equipment and facilities, to ensure:
• the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• the implementation of special maintenance and control of technical faults.
• the notification of obsolete equipment, with request for relevant elimination from assets.
• the checking of expense forecasts for maintenance activities and facility renewal.
• the collection and entry of data necessary to update the facility and equipment management archive.
• on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, prompt notification of spare part requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands.
• that the quality of machine, equipment or plant maintenance operations, including those carried out by third parties, is in line with reference standards.
• the updating of data concerning the certification of machines and equipment, by making arrangements to check current validity of said certification.
• the traceability of required certification, according to the area of use, with arrangements to check current validity of said certification.
• co-ordination of maintenance personnel, proposing technical improvements according to the characteristics of said co-ordination.
• the maintenance of relations with inspection and technical qualification organizations in reference to the area of responsibility.
• enactment of alert safety bulletins, non-conformance reports and failure reports, by actuation of relevant activities.
• co-ordination of repair activities in the event of serious damage to plants or facilities operating in the geographical area of responsibility.
collaboration in modification to plants and equipment to ensure operating capacity of the same.

Qualifications and requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in chemical and industrial process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and technologies, including batch and continuous processes.
• Experience with process optimization and improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex technical problems.
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with static and/or rotating equipment, and attended major overhauls for processing facilities including pumps, compressors, and special purpose tanks.

2. Finance Administrator (1)
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager
Job Summary
The Finance Administrator responsibilities include creditors and debtors’ control, processing and reconciling the month end payroll and processing and reconciling all bank accounts and cash floats.
All inter-company accounts must be reconciled with all subsidiaries and the fixed asset register must be updated.

Key Responsibilities;
Creditors
• Reconcile the weighbridge report with invoices from suppliers.
• Post all purchase/service invoices into the system.
• Reconcile creditors accounts and match with client statements.
• Prepare schedule for vat and excise duty.
• And any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
• Generate purchase orders based on the requisition received from stores
• Ensure all POD’s and invoices are saved on the server for all cost of sales transactions.
• Sign off all creditor reconciliations.
• Provide a listing of invoices where a statement cannot be obtained.
• Submit creditor remittance’s timeously to the supplier.
• Prepare schedule for vat and excise duty and reconcile to the ZRA submission and to Pastel Accounting.
• Initiate the payment on Smart Pay for VAT payments when due.
Bank accounts, operating accounts and cash floats.
• Processing of the operating accounts, prepare month end bank reconciliations.
• Processing of the bank cash float accounts.
• Sign off the listings for all unreconciled items that match the amount on Pastel accounting.
• Prepare Quotations and/or Pro Forma Invoices when requested to do so by Supply Chain.
Payroll
• Prepare total month end schedules that reconcile to the Pastel Payroll periodic reports.
• Prepare a Gypsum payroll reconciliation that reconciles to the Gypsum periodic reports.
• Reconciling salary clearing account in the balance sheet.
• Prepare all csv files for all statutory returns that are due
• Initiate the payment on Smart Pay for VAT payments when due.
Inter-company Transactions
• Provide debit notes to all subsidiaries when required and process all debit notes received from the subsidiaries.

Qualifications and requirements
• Grade 12 full school certificate
• At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
• Diploma in Accountancy or ZICA Technician
• Membership to professional body is key.
• Attention to detail, organization, problem solving are essential for this role.

3. Traffic Controller (1)
Reporting to the Process Controller
Job summary
In charge of controlling all traffic routing within the plant including traffic that will be coming and going out of the plant.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensures that traffic routing is planned and executed effectively and efficiently.
• Tracking traffic movements to achieve smooth flow of traffic within the plant.
• Providing daily traffic routing and traffic flow control.
• Managing the movement of all process materials and products in keeping with company inventory management procedures
• Controlling the traffic flow in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
• Ensuring all drivers coming in and out of the plant adhere to all traffic rules stipulated in the Zambian highway code and HSE guideline book.

Qualifications
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in any relevant discipline
• An Information Technology qualification will be an added advantage.
• Atleast three years’ experience in a similar role
• Emotionally mature to coach in an industrial environment
• Physically fit enough to operate freely and in a hands-on manner on a widely spaced-out plant with frequent requirement to walk to heights and to lead in controlling traffic flow.
