JOB DETAILS:
Pursuit Private School is seeking passionate, dedicated and qualified individuals to join our team on the following categories:
1. Day Care
Qualifications and Experience (Preferably females)
• Grade 9 Certificate.
• Grade 12 Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Experience in baby sitting.
• Ability to speak English and Nyanja.
2. Baby Class to Reception
Qualifications and Experience (Preferably females)
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Early Childhood Diploma.
• Skills in music, singing and dancing will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered with Teaching Council of Zambia.
• Professional experience in early childhood education.
• Ability to teach reading and handwriting.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
3. Primary School Teachers
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Minimum diploma in Primary Education.
• The teacher should be very good at teaching Mathematics and English.
• Professional experience in Primary Education.
• Must be registered with Teaching Council of Zambia.
• Knowledge of the curriculum.
• Great communication, interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
• Skills in music, singing and dancing will be an added advantage.
• Computer literate.
4. Secondary School Teachers
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education.
• Experience in teaching the specific grade level or subject area.
• Must be registered with Teaching Council of Zambia with valid practicing license.
• Possession of knowledge of the curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• IT skills.
5. School Secretary (Preferably females)
Job Purpose
To perform secretarial, clerical and administrative duties in order to ensure the smooth operation of the School.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Providing customer service by welcoming visitors to the School and providing directions as requested by the visitors.
• Screening people who visit the School before allowing them to access any office.
• Typing, editing and proof reading correspondences and any educational materials as requested by the Director and the Head teacher.
• Assisting in designing and drawing up promotional and informational materials for parents.
• Set up and maintain filing systems for pupils and teachers – paper and electronic.
• Answering phone calls and addressing caller questions and concerns through good customer service.
• Accepting and processing tuition and other school payments from parents.
• Making bank deposits.
• Attending school meetings and recording the minutes.
• Managing diaries for the Directors and the Head Teachers.
• Developing and updating the School Calendar through the Head teachers’ guidance.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Secretarial Studies obtained from a reputable institution or related qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience on the similar position.
• Experience in customer service.
• Proficient in the use of ICT applications such as Microsoft office.
• Skills and basic knowledge of accounting and accounting software will be an added advantage.
• Ability to speak in English and vernacular.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills. (Spoken and written)
• Very good handwriting skills.
• Professionalism and adherence to confidentiality.
6. General Workers
Job purpose
The General workers will perform a variety of work related to cleaning of the surrounding and buildings, maintenance and repairs of school buildings, facilities and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Cleaning offices, classrooms, toilets, common areas and surroundings daily and maintaining general cleanliness including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
• Emptying trash, and replacing liners and assist with the refuse collection.
• Inform the supervisor of any problems, defects or non-conformities.
• Maintaining lawns and plants by ensuring regular watering and checking against pests.
• Monitoring cleaning and office supplies to ensure that they are in stock.
• Keeping equipment and furniture clean and in good working condition.
• Performing other related work as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 9 certificate.
• Grade 12 or GCE equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in House Keeping or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of one year relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
