Zambia Airports Corporation Limited is a reputable Aviation Organisation with a vision to provide world class and diversified Airport and Air Navigation Services at the four designated international airports in Zambia namely; Kenneth Kaunda in Lusaka, Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe in Ndola, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula in Livingstone and Mfuwe as well as Eight (8) provincial and strategic aerodromes

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens to fill the below mentioned positions.
1.0 POSITION: RIGGER
This role reports to the Senior Avionics Maintenance Engineer. The job holder will be Responsible for quality installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of pylons, masts, aerials, and related aeronautical mechanical equipment for Zambia Airports Corporation Limited according to given specifications.
Key Performance Areas
• Carries out maintenance works and routine checks of all aerials and examines all shackles, wire ropes, slings, chain blocks, tirfors and overhead cranes to determine the condition of operation.
• Carries out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs of aerials, masts, earth mats and pylons.
• Advises on quality of rigging, assembles and installs rigging gear such as cables, ropes, pulleys and winches to lift, lower, move or position machinery, structural steel and other heavy objects.
• Initiates acquisitions for procurement of spares, tools and equipment, materials and compiles reports on equipment status.
• Carries out any assignment on related aeronautical mechanical installation, maintenance and repair works.
• Manages stores for rigging tools, equipment and accessories.
• Safety and rescue operations at heights
• Assessing the impact of safety on operational changes and activating hazard and risk analysis processes as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced Rigging Certificate
• Full Grade 12 school certificate with five (5) credits which include English, Mathematics and Physics/Physical science.
• Three years working experience with a proven record and specialization in any of the following:
• Assessing the impact of safety on operational changes and activating hazard and risk analysis processes as appropriate.
• In Collaboration with the supervisor, ensure the promotion of awareness of quality policy, quality objectives, and staff contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS and the benefits of improved performance and the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements.
• A Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
2.0 POSITION: SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER
This role reports to the Senior Manager Procurement and Supplies. The job holder will implement the best procurement techniques to achieve the best value for money.
Key Performance Areas
• Sourcing for goods and services upon receipt of approved purchase requisitions from stores and end users to maintain international standards.
• Negotiating for best prices prior to preparation of tender analysis and recommending to supervisor most favourable supplier to meet budget requirement.
• Managing contracts and executing all aspects of procuring to optimise operational performance and conformance to any new legal regulations.
• Attending to contract administration queries.
• Managing and strictly adhering to the budget and procurement plan.
• Preparing draft contracts in line with procurement guidelines and expediting approval of the contacts.
• Preparing solicitation documents and enquiries.
• Providing procurement guidelines as Secretary to the Procurement Committee
• Executing procurement guidelines to ensure that the Corporation conforms to the prescribed public procurement standards.
• Electronic Procurement Management
• Ensuring that all electronic procurement processes are enforced.
• Attending to suppliers in person and on the phone, clarifying queries with both local and international suppliers to maintain business harmony.
• Assisting the Senior Manager Procurement and Supplies in dealing with administrative issues and supervising subordinates
Qualifications
• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics
• Full CIPS qualification or a degree in Purchasing and Supply or any other relevant degree
Experience
• A valid driving license is an added advantage.
• Minimum of two (2) years practical experience
3.0 PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
This role reports to the Senior Procurement Officer. The job holder will assist in the procurement of goods and services on behalf of client departments in line with the Corporation’s strategic objectives.
Key Performance Areas
• Survey the market before executing the procurement.
• Conducting procurement activities in line with the approved processes and procedures to reflect the requirement of the relevant laws and policies.
• Conducting tender closing and opening sessions in a transparent manner.
• Filing orders and payment requests in line with the documentation required to fulfil request.
• Using procurement management information systems in line with the Commission’s requirements for accountability, control and decision making.
• Receiving specifications of requirements and prepare enquiries and ensure dissemination of the same to prospective bidders.
• Conducting evaluation of bids, proposals and quotations on the basis of price, quality and delivery time in line with the Commission’s procurement policy.
• Filing of minutes, supply contracts, service contracts and other procurement records.
• Conducting periodic monitoring and evaluation of procurement processes to recommend changes for improved performance.
• Preparing draft reports on status of procurements and recommend action/risk mitigation measures to ensure effective monitoring of supplier performance.
• Provide accurate routine or special reports as may be required by the supervisor and propose measures for improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics.
• Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) level III Certificate or equivalent

• Expediting outstanding orders and maintaining local and foreign purchase registers to ensure the records are up to date.
• Ensuring that projects are monitored and evaluated to systematically track the effectiveness of the implementation process and outputs.
• Preparing payment instructions in line with procurement plan.
• Timely preparation of procurement minutes.
• Implementing procurement guidelines to ensure that the Corporation conforms to the prescribed public procurement standards.
• Implementing all electronic procurement processes.
• Attending to suppliers in person and over the phone, clarifying queries with both local and foreign suppliers.
• Assisting Senior Procurement Officer and Senior Manager Procurement and Supplies in dealing with administrative duties.

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics.
• Full CIPS qualification or a degree in Purchasing and Supply or any other relevant degree.
