UNAIDS Country Office staff, the UNV will undertake the following tasks:
• Support UCO work plan development and implementation related to strengthening coordination and partnerships for accelerating HIV prevention for young people:
• Convene dialogues with youth networks engaged in HIV and SRHR outreach;
• Collaborating with relevant UN and bilateral partners to support proposal development and implementation, strengthening integrated approaches for HIV prevention and SRHR, with a focus on youth engagement.
• Support the development of a national advocacy plan for integrated HIV prevention and SRHR for AGYW, by convening key stakeholders from the NAC, AGYW in their diversity, civil society and other partners and provide technical inputs to implementation and review of the plan;
• Facilitate joint annual work plan development with identified youth networks as a basis for establishing a prevention working group for young people, aligned with National HIV Prevention Road Map implementation;
• Support a mapping exercise under the leadership of the NAC to take stock of thematic areas of intervention and geographic scope of the youth networks;
• Support the National HIV/AIDS /STI/TB Council (NAC) to regularly organize the National HIV Prevention Coalition Meetings under the leadership of the Ministers of Health and Finance and the First Lady;
• Day-to-day support to UCO team on request (e.g. communication, presentations, meet-ing preparations, representation and documentation, etc).

qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level: Technical/Vocational diploma Education – Additional Comments:
• Higher technical diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the area of public health or social sciences, or be enrolled in a university degree at Bachelor or Master level (NB: The UNV assignment is planned as a full-time assignment).
Required experience: 24 Months
Experience remark:
• Previous working experience or knowledge in the AIDS response and health, particularly in the area of HIV prevention and SRHR and/or youth engagement;
• Previous cooperation or work experience in the UN system is considered an advantage;
• Good analytical skills;
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the AIDS response, values and principles of volunteering and integrity;
• Respect for diversity and willingness to work in a multicultural environment;
• Able to communicate effectively in English as the working language of the UN in Zambia. Knowledge of local Zambian languages is an asset.
Language skills:
