JOB DETAILS:
Applicant Must-Have:
• A Full Grade Twelve (12) Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’Level Credits or its equivalent.
• Relevant Tertiary Education: Clinical Officer General – Ophthalmology. Other relevant certifications will be added advantage
• Extensive years of working experience
• Valid HPCZ Practicing certificate is a Must

The Ophthalmologist will supervise and undertake the provision of diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions in order to prevent loss of sight and maintain optimal eye status. He/She will attend to patients with eye problems ranging from conjunctivitis, blepharitis, hordeolum, glaucoma, refractive errors, cataracts etc

Responsibilities
a) The Ophthalmologist will carry out the diagnosis of eye conditions, provide treatment services, counselling aimed at addressing patient concerns and promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
b) Provide referral services and facilitate access to further care
c) Develop SOPs to ensure the standardized provision of Eye care services
d) Managing the prescription of medicines and surgery commodities and ensure availability of all needed consumables for the smooth operation of the clinic.
e) Ensure there is adherence and compliance of all health services delivery regulations including statutory obligations.
f) Oversee staff workplans and development of Eye care strategic workplans
g) Provide technical expert optical and ophthalmic services
